Downgrading
De-Syncing: When downgrading from paid, all synced accounts are automatically removed and all investment accounts are automatically transferred from “Synced” to “Manual Mode.” All current progress is maintained from the last available sync.
General Info & Use
Yearly Investing Allocations a brokerage account by an upward arrow, a Roth IRA by a shield, a Traditional IRA by a clock, an HSA by a heart, and a 401(k) by a briefcase. The progress of current contributions towards each account for the given plan year is represented by a green inner-bar, with the percent completion towards the overall yearly goal shown via the percent value located just above the green inner-bar. The percent completion may exceed 100% if extra contributions are made to the specific investment account, and extra contributions will be noted within each investment sub-card.
Initial Setup
Overview: The “Financial Framework” provides a mechanism by which users can allocate all available “Investable Cash Flow” across different investment accounts such as (but not limited to) IRAs, 401(K)s, HSAs, and Brokerage accounts. By default, the “Financial Framework” is a model that spans a full calendar year (January 1st through December 31st) that repeats infinitely until changed or cancelled. The objective of the plan is to create a recurring yearly plan which allocates “Investable Cash Flow,” and then track this allocation incrementally on the “Allocations” dashboard. If a user joins mid-year, the framework is implemented for the remainder of the current calendar year (April - December, for example) and refreshes for the full calendar year in the following year.
Upgrading
Connecting Accounts: When upgrading to paid, users gain the ability to connect one or more financial institutions to sync investment allocations from multiple accounts. Users are not forced to sync an account when upgrading. To first connect an account, users may go to the sidebar located at the top left of the screen, press “Account Information”, scroll to the bottom, then press “Connect an Institution.” Users may enter their username and password to link an account with Vassant. Users may connect more than one financial institution, up to 5 maximum. Additional requests to connect more should be sent to support@vassantfinance.com.
